When you take a moment to thank the Universe for the abundance you have, the Universe will increase it for you. Gratitude comes from the heart. As you give thanks, your heart opens and your inner light increases. Your heart is the doorway to your soul. It is the link between creative essence and the world around you.
When I woke up this morning, I heard the wind howling around my house and the rain beating against the bedroom window. I drew back the curtains and was filled with gratitude to be in the presence of nature’s power. The rowan tree outside my bedroom window danced happily with the wind, finally letting go of its precious berries.
It is often said in history that the Rowan tree possesses magical powers. Traditionally, people planted them to protect themselves from unwanted energies and enchantments. Our beloved rowan tree was deep-rooted when we arrived here. Folklore aside, I have always appreciated its strong grace and beauty. The way it shields the bedroom window from various invasive energies is breathtaking.
My gratitude for the wild weather and the beautiful rowan tree set my mood for today.
When you start the day with gratitude, you instantly set yourself up for a positive vibration. Appreciation and thanks open a path straight to your heart and, in turn, to your soul and true essence.

What is the purpose of gratitude?
Is it something I do because my parents told me to say thank you?
Is gratitude an enforced way of being polite?
Do I go through the motions of gratitude?
Do I give thanks idly and insincerely?
Do I wake up each morning and give thanks?
Do I easily change my energy by being grateful for what I have?
How grateful am I for what life has given me?
When Gratitude Hits You
Many of us only feel gratitude after an ordeal. When you make the shift to say thank you to yourself and the Universe, it helps lift your aura and raise your vibration.
When you give thanks and your heart opens, your entire body opens and resonates. When your body vibrates with your heart centre, you become whole with gratitude. This vibration magnetises you to even more positivity and the things you want from life.
Gratitude can be experienced for small, daily events, not only when something dramatic happens.

I like to be with people who thank me.
I respond positively when others appreciate and acknowledge me.
I pay attention to the feeling of thanks in my heart.
I know the effect of genuine gratitude.
The Gratitude Habit
Many people never think about the power of gratitude. When I consider the difference between feeling grateful and walking through life with a sense of negativity or entitlement, I realise that to overlook the feeling of appreciation and giving thanks is to miss out on a Universal gift.
The power of gratitude is a simple approach to life that results in success and natural flow with fewer obstacles and more ease.
The more gratitude you bring into your life, the more your eyes shine. You have an almost childlike sense of inner freedom and laughter. This energy is contagious. When you are around other people and carry this aura of positivity and appreciation, you bring a fresh energy to the environment, wherever you are.

I actively give thanks for my life each morning.
I surround my thoughts with gratitude.
I hold my emotions in gratitude.
I smile as I hold gratitude in my heart.
I feel appreciation for everything others do for me.
I give thanks to those around me.
Connect in Gratitude to Transform
Gratitude has a deep, essential warmth, a freshness of hope and anticipation. To live with gratitude is to live with positive expectations. When I made a positive change to live my life with appreciation, I became active in a world of higher optimism and positive energy. I left the passive observers behind, the people who never express appreciation.
If you look around, you will always find evidence of positive energy in nature. There are always flowers growing in tough, unlikely places. As you observe them, please tune in and feel their essential warmth and appreciation of life and the sun as they strive to survive. You have a glimpse of the energy of pure, lasting gratitude. Please take a photo of a surviving flower and use it to help carry you through life’s challenges.
When you train your mind to think of gratitude and appreciation, you may even be able to feel gratitude for the uncomfortable experiences in your life.

I convert “ Oh no, not another day” to “I love life. It’s great to be alive.”
I open my mind to pure gratitude every day.
I see all my experiences transformed.
I use the energy of gratitude to change a negative into hope.
I allow myself to be full of positive appreciation.
I appreciate simple things.
I look to nature to inspire me.
I love the changing colours of the leaves.
I appreciate the humble song of a bird.
I give thanks for everything I have that is healthy.
I appreciate the food that I eat.
I thank my family and friends.
The Law of Gratitude
There is, in fact, a law of gratitude. It means a willingness to express gratitude regularly always creates a positive return.
Expressing your positive ideas about life makes them part of the world and they can begin to take form. Positivity manifests around you.
You can express appreciation outside of yourself in various ways, such as speaking out loud to people or writing things down. You can even speak out loud to yourself. When you do so, it becomes powerful and speaks to the Universe.
It may help you to reach out to someone, either by writing or verbally, to express your appreciation of them or something they have done. The more you practice thanks, the more your energy changes. It even changes your molecular structure. Your whole being becomes more refined as you lift away from dense energies.

I change negative thoughts as they appear.
I see the best in every situation.
I use gratitude to lift myself.
Gratitude does everything for me.
I feel a depth for life I never felt before.
As I practice gratitude, I trust myself.
Appreciation helps my strength of conviction.
With gratitude, I rely on my own resources.
Universal Gratitude
Great teachers and evolved souls spend much of their time in meditation, appreciating and thanking the Universe. They have genuine humility and deep gratitude for everything the Universe gives them.
When you give thanks and appreciation, you open doors to the higher levels of the Universe.

Sit quietly and comfortably and bring your awareness to your heart.
I connect to my breath.
I sit peacefully in nature.
I feel the support of Mother Earth.
I open to the sky.
I look deeply into my heart.
I see the magic of my life.
There is so much to be grateful for.
My grateful heart understands the gift of sharing and giving.
In my heart, I am without judgement.
I know gratitude and appreciation.
I know generosity.
Gratitude opens my consciousness.
I choose to think in higher ways.
I know the Universe.
Every Moment Counts
Gratitude is goodness; when you exhibit the quality of doing good, you share yourself with others. You can invest your time and energy in demonstrating gratitude in different ways. It may be a small gesture or something huge. One kind word or action creates a ripple effect that keeps expanding outwards.
When the energy of gratitude flows through you, you become one with it. When you extend love and appreciation, you join the natural Universal cycle. The law of generosity comes into effect. Generosity and positivity flow into your life. You know this is the natural way to exist.

Be still and contemplate your life at this moment.
What do I have in my life that I appreciate?
What do I appreciate about myself?
What do I appreciate about my body, mind, achievement, and goals?
Who are the people in my life that I appreciate?
Today, reach out to thank someone. Call, message or write. Express your gratitude and appreciation for them. Make this a habit and watch the resulting transformation.
Gratitude and appreciation transform your entire life and way of being. Gratitude is a connection to your heart. A simple shift in your way of thinking and behaviour can have a dramatic effect on opening your soul and your journey through the Universe.
