I’m not suggesting that anybody rebel against authority; it’s a good idea to respect the rules if we want to do our part to keep society humming. But constant people-pleasing? That can lead straight to resentment, burnout, and a life that feels like someone else’s script.
The sweet spot lies in crafting an authentic yes—one that’s enthusiastic and fully your own—while honoring your boundaries with a clear, honest no.

Finding—and embracing—your authentic Yes transforms everything. You sidestep the exhaustion of obligatory nos, ignite creativity in your true commitments, and model integrity for those around you. Remember, whenever you authentically choose Yes, you empower yourself to show up creatively and enthusiastically. But it’s vital that you be real about it!
