Episode 75, November 2026: Whole & Complete
Did you ever find yourself waiting for someone else to walk into your life, wave a magic wand, and make everything feel complete? For generations, people have been living with a romantic notion that each of us is merely half a person wandering through a chaotic world, desperately searching for “the One”—often labeled our “better half”—to fix our broken pieces and deliver lasting happiness on a silver platter.
Years ago, during my time working in demanding, high-stakes environments, I noticed how easy it was for me to equate personal worth with external approval. If a project went flawlessly and leadership applauded, I felt solid. But more often, if friction arose or validation disappeared, that sense of stability evaporated like morning mist. It took quite a bit of deep introspection for me to realize that by expecting external circumstances—and specific individuals—to keep my cup full, I was running on an emotional deficit. I was asking others to do a job that belonged strictly to me. What I didn’t realize was just how much I was giving my own power away.

Remember, fellow traveler, you are whole and complete unto yourself. By all means, create relationships with people everywhere, and enjoy all your playmates and soul-mates. But don’t make the mistake of looking for someone else to complete you, to fulfill your needs, or to make you happy. Take responsibility for yourself. Approach all your sacred relationships as someone who intentionally shares your fullness with everyone else.
