We have an estimated 50,000 thoughts daily, many of which are hypercritical of ourselves. We may speak to ourselves in ways we would never speak to others. Affirmations, especially those that start with “I am,” are incredibly powerful. Whatever follows the words ”I am” becomes your truth. Very powerful, indeed.

Tips for Effective Affirmations

1. Believe and Feel: An affirmation must feel about fifty percent true to resonate with you. It’s the feeling and belief behind the statement that give it power.
2. Positive Statements: Choose empowering statements that improve your energy vibration. For example, instead of saying, “I am tired. I am sick. I am broke. I am not worthy. I am stuck,” opt for statements like:
